God’s love for us in Christ Jesus never fails. In this shifty and unreliable world, God has given us a mission of making deep-rooted disciples who are not swayed by the crazy teachings of our times.

The seed for Grace Lutheran was planted in 1943 when eleven faithful Lutheran Christians decided to settle in Winter Haven and worship together. From that time forward, with the help of God, Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and School has been rooted in effectively connecting people to Jesus. As long as the Lord has people in this community to minister to, we will be a church and school that people can count on well into the future.

In 1969, we established a Christian Grade School which soon became the number one mission of our church. Our school ministry has grown, flourished and produced graduates who have excelled in their chosen fields and who, with a faith rooted in Christ, have become leaders in their own communities. The school is thriving, but we are now beyond capacity. We are having to turn children away.

We are not uprooting our heritage, changing Christ’s teachings or moving away.

God has planted us in Central Winter Haven to continue to grow and blossom. We will remain current, adapting to the times while staying rooted in Christ.

Purchasing the property at 330 Ave C will provide 6/10 new classrooms, a secure entrance with administrative control, and a suite of small instructional rooms for classic music instruction, thus benefiting our school and community students. A much-needed new parking lot and covered drop-off area for church and school will complete our campus.

Raise 3.5 million dollars over the next two years to contribute to the cost of our plan.

100% participation in the “ROOTED” endeavor is our fervent hope. We want you to be a part of this exciting and time of new growth in our history.

Here are 3 ways you can participate:

DEEPEN -  Your Roots. Read (or listen to) our daily devotions of God’s Word written by members of our church and school family, pray for God’s work in our lives and commit to gathering in worship each week.

INVITE  -  others to join the journey by sharing stories of faith and passing out ”God Loves You” pocket crosses.

GIVE  -  Yourself fully to God’s work in your life making a generous 2-year commitment to the “Rooted” Vision

Eighty years ago, eleven determined, dedicated, faith-filled people planted the seeds that have rooted, grown and born much fruit for God’s Kingdom here at Grace. Now, it’s our turn to send down more roots for our school to grow, thereby insuring that we are prepared for the future God has planned for us.
