Children

We love children!

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."  Matthew 19:14

IN THE SANCTUARY

Worship is for all ages, and we love children at Grace Lutheran Church! Children of all ages are always encouraged to worship the Lord with their families. All children (and moms and dads) are welcome to come forward for the Children’s Message at our Sunday services.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Children’s church (offered during the sermon at 8:30 AM and 10:45 AM worship) and Sunday School (9:45 AM) are back! We will be using the Youth Room and adjoining classroom for both.

Children attending children’s church and Sunday School in person have been doing an amazing job social distancing in their hula hoops and wearing their masks. Thank you parents for your encouragement and behind the scenes preparation. We will continue to wear masks during Children’s Ministry.

NURSERY

We have a staffed nursery for children ages 0-3 next to Trinity Hall. Your children are always welcome to remain with you for worship or with our attendant in the nursery. The nursery is available during Sunday worship, fellowship and Bible class times.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

February Sunday School

Kids SS Feb 2021

Be sure to join us every Sunday at 9:45 AM in the Youth Room for Sunday School! This month we will be learning about how we can cheer each other on by showing God’s kindness to everyone around us!

Children ages 3 years through 6th grade are welcome to join us for Sunday school every Sunday morning in the youth room from 9:45-10:30AM.  November is all about shouting out praise to God for all He has done for us!  (5th and 6th grade students will have a separate small group time following the large group Bible story.)

Students in 7th-12th grade are welcome to join adult Bible study any time. If you are in middle or high school and are interested in a youth only Bible study during the Sunday school hour, please email Leah @ lwelter@glwh.org so she can arrange a high school small group!

Volunteers are always needed to help us with this growing ministry. Please contact the church office if you would like to help!

Destination Dig

Destination Dig

Families and young people (3yrs through 5th grade) of Grace are invited to join Miss Casey and Miss Leah for Destination Dig during Lent at Grace Lutheran!  On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings we will “unearth” the truth about Jesus and his amazing love for us through fun STEM activities, archeology experiences and other fun interactive learning.  Journey back in time to see where Jesus walked and discover how archeologists learn about what Jesus’ life was like!

Destination Dig Wednesday Evenings:  Families are invited to join us in Trinity Hall before Lent worship to learn more about the “Places of the Passion.”  (You will be provided with a set of Archeological dig tools the first week you attend Destination Dig.  Bring them with you each Wednesday and on Sunday mornings so you are prepared to dig into the learning experiences!)

  • 6:00-6:45PM  Wednesday, February 24, March 3, 10, 17 and 24.
  • Some lessons may include a archeological snack, but Lenten meals will not be served this year.  Please eat before you arrive!

Destination Dig Sunday Mornings:  Bring your archeology dig tools with you to Sunday school and children’s church to dig deeper into where Jesus walked and what Jesus taught as he prepared to die and rise for us!
